The look and feel was clean and friendly. Complex functionality was made usable by simplifying the layout as much as possible.

BBC ideas that changed the world

This BBC series "about innovative ideas that have changed and enhanced the world we live in" required a site design translated into a fully functioning and easy to update website.

Hand-coding the site first in HTML and CSS, I went on to create a bespoke Wordpress theme from the ground up. It was easy to update with videos and provided a platform for public debate.

stagecoach tv

Stagecoach TV is the online video hub of the largest performing arts network in the world. This client had a pre-existing site but it was difficult to update. Also they required a forum for stage school staff.

Using Wordpress I took the existing design and turned the back end into an easy-to-use content management system. I then fully integrated a feature rich forum.

A filmmaker and editor for Channel 4, Jason Yeomans wanted a minimal and artistic online portfolio. The aim was to place his work in an environment of gravitas and artistic integrity.

Functionally this was a content managed solution which enabled Jason to update his film/photo galleries easily.

Braindrop is warm and friendly underground club night with a loyal fan base.

The simple site gives news about forthcoming events and photos from previous parties all of which helps to bring the community together.

I designed this website to feel light and welcoming. It reflects the organisation's informal and friendly approach to community projects.

The site is built using Wordpress. This allowed me to create a very easy-to-use content management solution. The client was very happy and picked it up with little need for training.
